This method is currently most suitable for situations where the wellhead site is level and spacious, and where the derrick is heavy and relatively tall.

2. Overall Sliding Installation Method for External Assembly at the Wellhead

Assemble the derrick outside the wellhead; use jacks to lift the derrick so that its base is higher than the wellhead; then, using the laid-out slide rails, employ a winch and hand chain hoist to slide the derrick into its designed position at the wellhead. This method is particularly suitable for sites with space constraints and where minimizing the time occupied by the wellhead is crucial.
