Characteristics of multi-rope friction hoists

Source:
Mine hoists are primarily used in mines to lift and lower personnel, materials, and equipment. They can transport heavy loads quickly and steadily in the vertical direction, significantly improving the efficiency of coal mining operations.
When toxic or harmful gases underground pose a serious threat to human life, or when signs of such gases are detected and they pose an imminent danger to life, on-site personnel should promptly open the casing of the compressed-air self-rescue device, then activate the pneumatic valve, put on the mask, and begin breathing while seeking assistance.
The operation steps are as follows:
1. Pull out the latch and open the door;
2. Open the intake valve and observe the pressure gauge.
3. Take out the breathing mask, place it over your mouth and nose, and breathe naturally. Adjust the mask to fit comfortably on your head (if you feel uncomfortable, pull up the pressure adjustment knob and turn it clockwise to increase the pressure, or counterclockwise to decrease the pressure; adjust it until the desired pressure is reached—typically between 0.05 and 0.07 MPa—and then press down on the adjustment knob to lock it in place).
Maintenance and Precautions:
1. Do not pull the mask forcefully, as this could disengage the gas tube connector or break the tube itself.
2. Do not bang or strike forcefully.
3. Maintenance must be performed monthly to ensure that the ventilation of self-rescue stations or systems is in good condition, and to check whether there are any gas outlets and whether the handles of pneumatic valves are flexible and reliable.

Maintenance and Management of the Sky Wheel Device
Select an appropriate grease, such as lithium-based grease No. 2 or No. 3, and ensure that the grease is clean and applied in the correct amount. Regularly inspect the cleanliness and lubrication performance of the grease, and promptly replace any grease that has deteriorated.
Common Problems and Solutions for Hoist Sheave Units
The head sheave assembly of a multi-rope friction hoist mainly consists of the head sheave shaft, fixed sheave, traveling sheave, bearing bushing, bearing housing, main bearing, head sheave lining, and retaining clips.
The Importance of Mine Hoisting Equipment
Mine hoisting equipment serves as an essential link between the underground and surface of a mine. In underground mining operations, large quantities of ore, waste rock, and other materials need to be hoisted to the surface for processing; at the same time, miners rely on this hoisting equipment to safely travel back and forth between the underground and the surface.
