Handling method: Unusual noises usually gradually diminish over time with continued use. In cases of bearing damage, check the lubrication condition of the bearings, replace any damaged bearings, and strengthen lubrication management.

2. The bearing bush or the surface of the sheave shaft shows severe wear marks.

Reasons: The wear of bearing bushings is mainly caused by factors such as poor lubrication, unbalanced wire rope tension, and deviation of the lifting centerline. Wear on the sheave shaft is often due to the excessively hard material of the bearing bushings.

Handling measures: Procure bearing bushings of superior quality. Strengthen lubrication management to ensure the cleanliness and proper quantity of grease. Regularly inspect the tension of wire ropes and promptly adjust any imbalances. Additionally, adjust the installation position of the hoist or reinforce the derrick to ensure the accuracy of the hoisting centerline.

3. The spokes of the sky wheel assembly have cracked.

Reason: The fracture of wheel spokes is primarily caused by factors such as insufficient weld strength in the wheel body, cumulative fatigue over long-term operation, and intense friction generated during emergency braking.

Handling method: During the manufacturing process of the wheel body, ensure that the weld seams meet the required strength standards. Regularly inspect the wear condition of the weld seams and promptly repair any cracked weld seams.

4. The top pulley lining shows uneven wear, and the depth of the rope groove is inconsistent.

Cause: It is caused by factors such as uneven tension in the steel wire rope, insufficient accuracy of the groove, and issues with the lining material.

Handling method: Regularly check the tension of the wire rope and promptly adjust any imbalances. Ensure consistent groove depth by improving the accuracy of the hoist sheave. Regarding the lining material, select a lining material with excellent wear resistance.

5. Excessive deviation in the swivel of the sky wheel

Cause: Due to severe wear of the sheave bearing, bending of the main shaft, and damage to the bearings.

Handling method: Replace severely worn bearing shells and bearings, and straighten the bent main shaft. Regarding the installation position of the head sheave assembly, ensure that its horizontal and vertical alignment meet the required specifications.
