Signal System Functions
● Straight-forward forwarding signal transmission The signal boxes at the wellhead, well bottom, and car shed can all independently perform direct signal transmission. At the same time, the system supports signal relay functionality, ensuring accurate and timely signal transmission between stations. The system can send various types of signals, such as lifting, lowering, stopping, and emergency stop, to meet the needs of different operational scenarios.
● Full-line voice calls Utilizing advanced voice communication technology, this system enables full-line voice communication between the wellhead, well bottom, and vehicle room. Staff can engage in real-time voice communication via signal boxes, facilitating coordinated lifting operations and enhancing work efficiency. The voice calls feature clarity, stability, and strong anti-interference capabilities, ensuring reliable performance even in the challenging environment of underground mines.
● Voice announcements for winch operation and stopping The system monitors the operating status of the winch in real time. When the winch starts, stops, or its operating status changes, the signal box in the control room automatically issues a voice announcement to alert personnel. The voice announcements are clear and accurate, effectively helping to prevent safety incidents caused by negligence or misoperation.
Working Principle of the Signal System
● Signal Transmission and Reception When staff members press the corresponding signal buttons at the wellhead, bottom of the shaft, or in the car shed’s signal box, the PLC inside the signal box encodes the signal and transmits it via fiber-optic communication to other signal boxes. The receiving signal boxes decode the signals and process them according to their types—for example, by displaying signal information or triggering voice announcements.
● Voice call When a voice call is required, staff simply press the call button on the signal box to activate the voice-call function. The voice signal is captured by a microphone, processed and encoded, and then transmitted via fiber-optic communication to other signal boxes. At the receiving end, the signal box decodes the received voice signal and plays it back through a speaker, enabling voice communication along the entire line.
● Winch Condition Monitoring and Voice Broadcasting The system uses sensors installed on the winch to monitor its operational status—such as speed, position, and direction—in real time. The sensors transmit the monitored signals to a PLC housed in the control room’s signal box. The PLC analyzes and processes these signals to determine the winch’s current operating condition. When the winch starts, stops, or experiences a change in its operational state, the PLC activates the voice broadcasting module to deliver corresponding voice announcements.
