Product uses and applicable scope
The shaft sinking winch is primarily used on the surface of coal mines, metal mines, and non-metallic mines to suspend equipment (such as hoisting platforms, water pumps, air ducts, compressed-air cylinders, grouting pipes, and ventilation ducts) during shaft-sinking operations. It is strictly prohibited to use this winch for transporting people. It can also serve as a substitute for construction hoists, performing lifting tasks in ground-based construction and material-handling applications. Additionally, it can be used to replace steel wire ropes connecting containers in multi-rope friction hoists, or temporarily function as a shaft-sinking winch. This winch is suitable for short-term operation but not recommended for prolonged heavy-load lifting. When the winch is equipped with a worm-gear reducer, it must be installed horizontally.
Well-drilling winches are available in two types: those with mechanical brakes and those with disc brakes—both can be manufactured.
Winches are classified by their structural type into: winding type and friction type.
Winches are classified according to the number of drums as single-drum winding winches and double-drum winding winches.
The safety-type shaft sinking winch can operate when powered on and also functions normally during power outages. It offers three operating modes: electric, manual, and mechanical (belt-driven).
Product's execution standard
The shaft sinking winch is designed and manufactured in accordance with the Safety Inspection Specifications for Shaft Sinking Winches Used in Coal Mines, AQ 1031-2007, and GB/T 15112-2007, "Shaft Sinking Winches," which are industry standards for production safety of the People's Republic of China.
Working principle
Powered by electricity and featuring mechanical gear transmission, the system transmits power via steel cables and relies on a multi-level, highly reliable braking and electronic control system as its core safeguard. Ultimately, it enables precise, safe, and dependable suspension and lifting operations for heavy-duty equipment during shaft construction. When the main motor is started, the motor rotor transmits power to the high-speed shaft of the reducer through an elastic coupling. After being slowed down and transmitted by the reducer, the power is further transferred from the reducer’s driven shaft to the main shaft assembly via a cross-slider coupling. By repeatedly reversing the motor’s direction, the drum can wind or unwind the steel cable, causing the lifted object to move periodically back and forth. This mechanism also ensures a continuous supply of torque sufficient to meet the operational demands of the hoist.
Technical Features of Well Drilling Winches
(1) Low-speed, high-torque: Well-drilling winches place greater emphasis on delivering enormous and stable torque at extremely low speeds, to meet the demands of suspending loads weighing hundreds of tons and performing slow-speed lifting operations.
(2) Large rope capacity: The design of the drum’s width and diameter must accommodate hundreds or even thousands of meters of steel wire rope to meet the requirements of deep-well construction.
(3) High speed-regulation performance is required: Suspended equipment needs extremely slow, micro-motion speeds (on the order of centimeters per second) for leveling and alignment; therefore, the electro-control system must exhibit exceptionally high low-speed stability.
(4) High safety redundancy: The braking system typically employs multiple independent redundant designs. The safety brake acts directly on the drum, providing a substantial reserve in braking torque (usually no less than three times the static torque).
(5) Robust construction: To withstand the harsh conditions on construction sites, the design places greater emphasis on durability, robustness, and reliability.
