The hydraulic station serves as both the control and power source for the mine hoist’s braking system, working in conjunction with disc brakes to form a complete braking system that performs both service and safety braking functions. Working principle

A hydraulic power unit is an independent hydraulic system that supplies oil to the actuating device as required and controls the direction, pressure, and flow rate of the fluid. An electric motor drives the oil pump, which draws oil from the reservoir and delivers it, converting mechanical energy into the pressure energy of the hydraulic fluid. The hydraulic fluid then passes through an integrated manifold (or valve assembly), where hydraulic valves regulate its direction, pressure, and flow. It is subsequently conveyed via external piping to the cylinders or hydraulic motors of the hydraulic machinery, thereby controlling the direction of motion, the magnitude of force, and the speed of operation, and enabling various hydraulic machines to perform their intended tasks.

Technical Features

Precise pressure control The hydraulic station employs 25 MPa high-pressure hydraulic components and advanced proportional control technology for pressure regulation. Its structural design is innovative and well‑reasoned, delivering excellent operational performance.

Reliable sealing The mating surfaces of all valves, plugs, and oil‑collecting blocks shall be tested at 1.25 times the design pressure and held for 5 minutes. No deformation or oil leakage shall be observed anywhere in the system, and the valve operation shall be flexible, accurate, and reliable.

Secondary braking performance The hydraulic station features adjustable two-stage braking performance, with both the primary braking oil pressure and the duration of action being configurable as required. During shaft hoisting, the secondary braking should be disengaged near the shaft head, thereby activating the primary braking.

Automated adaptation : The hydraulic station is designed to meet automated lifting requirements. When equipped with two sets of pressure-regulating devices, for a given control current (or voltage) that increases (or decreases), the pressure differential between the two sets shall not exceed 0.2 MPa.

Security Monitoring Configuration

The hydraulic station is equipped with essential pressure‑monitoring and sensing components, such as electrical contact pressure gauges, pressure relays, and pressure sensors. It also includes a hydraulic oil temperature sensor; the oil temperature shall not exceed 70°C, and the temperature rise shall not exceed 34°C. The temperature‑sensing location must be within a 200 mm radius at the midpoint of the pump’s oil line. The hydraulic station features independently operated service brakes and braking devices, and its pressurized oil system must have at least two non‑interfering return lines.

Supporting application

The Shuangmin hydraulic station is designed for use with JTP‑type and JK‑type mine hoists, providing power to and control of rear‑mounted disc brakes. These disc brakes are released by hydraulic pressure and applied by spring force, with their actuation and control coordinated by a dedicated hydraulic station. The hydraulic station for JK‑type winches is equipped with two sets of oil pumps and electro‑hydraulic proportional pressure‑regulating devices—one set in operation and the other on standby. For multi‑rope friction hoists, the hydraulic station features dual pumps and dual electro‑hydraulic pressure‑regulating units.

The main functions of the hydraulic station include: generating varying working oil pressures according to actual hoisting requirements; adjusting and controlling the braking torque of disc brakes to achieve service braking; rapidly and automatically venting oil during emergency braking to implement two-stage braking; and, in response to the need for level changes in multi‑level hoisting and rope adjustments following wire rope elongation, operating the rope‑adjusting clutch of the double‑drum hoist’s active drum.
